Your planner is printed after you order it
Nothing here sits in a warehouse. When your order comes in, we build your book to the choices you made, send it to our printer, and it ships straight to you. That is why you can change things a mass-produced planner would never let you change — and why we ask you to choose carefully before you check out.
Every choice below is free except the ones that change the price, and we say plainly which those are.
The choices that set the price
1. How long
3, 6, 12 or 18 months. A longer book is a thicker book, so it costs more to print. Pick this on the product page.
2. Your cover
Softcover and hardcover are both wire-bound and both lay completely flat. Softcover is our standard: a sturdy printed card cover, and it is what most people want. Hardcover adds a rigid board cover for $20 — worth it if the book lives in a bag, on a job site, or gets opened every day for a year.
Custom Design is the third option, $40 over the softcover price: describe the cover you want — colors, theme, any text or imagery — in the box that appears in the customizer, and we design it for your book. We email you a proof before anything prints.
Everything else is free
When it starts
Pick any month and year. A planner does not have to begin in January. Start it in September for a school year, in July for a fiscal year, or next month because that is when you actually need it. Your book runs from the month you choose for as many months as you bought.
Sunday or Monday weeks
Choose which day your week begins on. Every weekly page and every month grid is redrawn to match — this is not a label change, the calendar is genuinely rebuilt.
Weekly pages, on or off
By default you get a page for every week of your date range. Turn them off and you get month calendars only: a much thinner, lighter book for people who plan by the month and keep the day-to-day somewhere else.
One blank notes page per month
Optional. Adds a clean, unruled page at the end of each month for whatever does not fit in a box. Off by default.
Your name on the title page
Up to 40 characters, printed on the opening page. Leave it blank and the page prints without it. A name, a year, a team, an inside joke — it is your book.
Your cover title and subtitle
Two short lines, printed on the cover and repeated on the title page inside: a title of up to 40 characters and a subtitle of up to 60. “Sam's Planner” over “one day at a time”, a team name, a school year — whatever you like. Leave either blank and the design's own words stay.
Up to 5 tab dividers, labeled how you like
Sturdy plastic-reinforced tabs, and you write the labels. Five is our cap, so tabs work best as sections rather than months — something like Reference / Months / Weeks / Logs / Notes. Tabs are included at no extra cost.
Your wire color
Silver, black, white, gold, red, blue or green. Gold on a hardcover looks like a gift.
How to order
- Pick your design. Every planner has its own reference and log pages built for that one subject — that is the real difference between them. The weekly and monthly layouts are the same throughout the range.
- Choose how long and which cover on the product page. The price updates.
- Open "Customize your planner" just above the Add to Cart button and set your start month, week start, cover title, tabs, wire color and name. The page count updates as you go, so you can see the book getting thicker or thinner.
- Add to cart and check out. Your choices travel with the order — there is no second form to fill in and nothing to send us separately.
- We build it. Your book is generated to your exact dates, sent to the printer, and shipped to you.
Your choices are printed on your order confirmation. Read them once when it lands — that is the easiest moment to catch a typo in a name or a wrong start month.
Timing
Because every book is made for one person, it is not same-day. Printing and binding take several business days before your book ships, and the shipping options and current turnaround are shown at checkout. If you need it in hand by a specific date, message us through the contact form before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done. A Custom Design cover adds a little extra time for the design and your proof.
Something you want that is not on the list
There is an "Anything else" box in the customizer. Tell us what you want changed, added or left out. We read every one. Some things we can do; some we cannot, and if yours is one of those we will email you before we print anything, and refund you in full if we cannot make it work.
A few things worth knowing up front:
- Paper is 70 lb matte white throughout — chosen because it takes pen well and does not smudge. Gel pen and ballpoint are happiest on it; a heavy marker or a wet fountain pen will show through.
- Every book is US Letter, 8.5″ × 11″. We do not currently offer a smaller size.
- Each design's standard cover artwork is fixed, though the title and subtitle on it are yours to change, and any planner can be printed with a plain solid-color cover instead. Want artwork that is yours alone? That is what the Custom Design cover option is for.
- Because your planner is made for you and only you, we cannot accept returns on a customized book. If it arrives damaged, misprinted, or not what your order said, send us a photo through the contact form within 30 days and we will replace it free.
Questions
Can I change my choices after I order?
Message us as soon as you can. If your book has not gone to print yet, we will change it.
Do I have to customize anything?
No. Skip the whole section and you get a sensible standard book: your chosen length, starting January, Sunday weeks, weekly pages on, no tabs, silver wire.
Will an 18-month planner actually fit in one book?
Yes. The customizer counts your pages as you choose and will tell you if a build is too thick to bind — you would have to work at it to get there.
Can I get the same design as a gift for someone with different dates?
Yes — order it twice with different choices. Each book is built separately.
